  • The road to Master drummer Muddanawe Sunil Guruunnanse's house. The tradition of drumming in his family will end with Muddanawe Sunil, as his son will not carry on the family tradition at his father's request. The centuries-old drumming beats and rhythms of his tribe are in jeopardy of becoming a faded memory if the rhythms are not taught to newer generations. The sacrifice to carry on these traditions are great, as living a life of a drummer is not economically viable, and many sons choose not to follow in the family tradition.
